Overview

Manage subcontract formation and administration for large construction projects.

Tasks

-Prepares bidders’ lists and pre-qualifies bidders -Coordinates bidders’ questions and answers to those questions -Conforms and ensures subcontract execution -Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project’s agreed assignment of various subcontract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Subcontract Management -Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders -Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations -Prepares subcontract documents for execution -Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, and other major matters -Develops and issues subcontracts and services agreements as assigned -Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures -After reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules -Manage moderately complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement -Manages assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties -Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel, the customer and contractor on all contractual matters -Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially -Directs negotiation in the commitment of subcontracts

What You Bring

-Demonstrated skills in working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups. -Experience in change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims and dispute resolution. -Experience in a wide range of contract types and associated pricing arrangements. -Experience in formation and contract administration management of large, moderately complex construction contracts and services contracts. -Experience in negotiating terms and conditions, and variations.
