Payroll Associate (Union)

Overview

Process weekly/biweekly payroll, maintain records, handle deductions and compliance.

Tasks

-Reconciles payroll-related general ledger accounts. -Maintains employee payroll records. -Files and remits payment on all federal, state, and local payroll related reports; files monthly union reports and makes corresponding payments to the union. -Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics”. -Assists in processing, printing, and distributing W-2s. -Interacts frequently with personnel on payroll issues; assists employees with payroll-related questions. -Maintains payroll deductions and contributions for benefits and garnishments. -Researches discrepancies and questions regarding payroll; ensures compliance with payroll laws and regulations. -Processes weekly and biweekly payroll.

What You Bring

-Ability to handle confidential information a must. -Strong organizational and communication skills required; must be a self-motivated individual. -Strong computer skills, including experience with payroll software, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous experience with UKG payroll strongly preferred. -2+ years’ general accounting and/or payroll experience. -Strong customer-service orientation, with a focus on the employee experience and continuous improvement. -Strong detail orientation; must have ability to analyze information and identify discrepancies.
