Tasks

-Analyze and review required documents, drawings, and project specifications to gain a thorough understanding of the projects' scope of work and customers' needs. -Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the project utilizing company’s Proprietary Estimation Tool. -Create/improve tools and reports in Excel to aid in creating and communicating estimates. -Develop a project-specific Request for Proposal for distribution to subcontractors including, but not limited to, instructions to bidders, contract documents, schedule, bid forms for pricing and schedule, and a list of documents -Manage and prioritize the project pipeline to ensure that deadlines are met. -Occasional travel to job sites as it is needed to aid in the understanding of larger projects (3-6 trips per year) -Collaborate with other departments (i.e. Field Services, Engineering, Purchasing and Business Development) to support the needs of creating project estimates along with other project data analysis. -Present prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders -Support project management activities as needed -Create labor estimates for projects

What You Bring

-Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, mathematics, statistics, and data analysis -Technical background a plus but not required -Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail -Proficiency in quoting mechanical pipe installation. -Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills -Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects -Expertise with analytic tools, such as Excel spreadsheets and database managers -Engineering background a plus but not required -Exceptional time management skills -Ability to multitask with multiple estimates being worked on at one time
