Tasks

-Handle platform deployment, installation, patching, change management, and software upgrades. -Participate in platform review, benchmarking, tuning, and security evaluation. -Manage database operations including incident response, alert resolution, and third-party support engagement. -Recommend proactive improvements and design changes for production platforms. -Deploy and maintain database monitoring solutions. -Perform database performance analysis and production operations review. -Develop and deploy database hardening procedures across cloud, hosted, and on-premises environments. -Provide expert support to technical support and project delivery teams. -Test and build restore and recovery procedures.

What You Bring

-Expertise in database standards, processes, and deployment methodologies. -Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. -Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker is a plus. -HS diploma with 8+ years of Cassandra administration experience (administration only, not architecture/design). -Expert in high availability database architecture deployment. -Strong experience managing production database change management (cloud, hosted, on-prem). -Experience with GitLab, Terraform, Datadog. -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred (8–10 years’ experience). -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Linux operating system background is required. -Strong troubleshooting and production operations background. -Proactive, team-oriented, and strong leadership qualities. -Experience with database performance evaluation and benchmarking. -DataStax Enterprise Cassandra administration experience. -8–10 years of Cassandra administration experience. -Extensive background with public cloud database deployment, management, and migration.
