The Role
Overview
Installs, terminates, and maintains electrical conduit, panels, and control systems.

Tasks
-Test installed/repaired/modified equipment for proper performance. -Travel to off-site locations may be required. -Provide material take-offs for electrical facilities equipment requirements. -Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects. -Communication is primarily internal to the assigned work team and the Electrical Manager. -Install interlocking wiring and perform wiring check out. -Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment). -Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work. -Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques. -Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devices. -Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules. -Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation. -Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues. -Install and terminate conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices. -Install system components and wiring in compliance with the NEC, NESC, NFPA and the UFC. -Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code. -Propose changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for facilities. -Construct and fabricate control panels and rough and finish wiring and control systems.

What You Bring
-Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. -Able to work well under pressure. -Ability to work under the supervision of journeyman electricians, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment. -Registered as an apprentice electrician in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school. -Strong attention to detail. -Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations an asset. -Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment. -24/7 availability may be required. -Physical ability to lift up to 50lb. -Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
