Overview

Lead statewide CEI program, manage staff, ensure QA/QC, and oversee transportation projects in SC.

Tasks

-Lead recruiting efforts for construction managers, engineers, and inspectors -Provide training and mentorship to CEI staff -Lead business development activities within the SC CEI practice -Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with clients -Serve as Project Manager on select projects as needed -Assist with the technical development of proposals and qualification packages -Provide quality oversight of CEI staff on project activities and deliverables -Plan, organize, and supervise the work of CEI staff

What You Bring

-Three or more current SCDOT certifications or ability to obtain in six months: ACI Field Testing, Asphalt, Earthwork and Base Course, Coarse Aggregate, Foundations, Concrete, CEPSCI, Pavement Preservation, IMSA -Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred -Demonstrated experience with SCDOT policies, inspector certifications, procedures, and CEI documentation systems strongly preferred. -Demonstrated ability to lead construction teams on transportation projects -Ideal candidate is a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in South Carolina. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or closely related field) and fifteen (15) years of CEI experience, including five (5) years of relevant transportation/CEI project management; a Master’s in Engineering may substitute for one (1) year of experience. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reports, client correspondence, and team coaching. -Valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide to active construction sites. -Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner. -Skilled in technical report writing and communicating with clients -Professional Licensure and Society Memberships
