Tasks

-Collaborate with stakeholders to define GIS strategies and solutions -Apply advanced survey methods using robotic total stations, 3D terrestrial scanners, GPS, mobile mapping systems, and aerial mapping techniques -Manage day-to-day operations and mentor staff across experience levels -Acquire and process remotely sensed data for use by engineers and technical staff -Guide teams in developing plats, extracting data, and building engineering models from various sources -Oversee and perform tasks related to LIDAR, photogrammetry, boundary research, and field surveys (route and property) -Lead and manage a team of geospatial professionals including GIS analysts, surveyors, technicians, and specialists

What You Bring

-Proficiency with Trimble Business Center and ArcGIS (required) -Ability to work independently and collaboratively -Valid driver’s license required -Experience leading teams in both field and office environments -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geography, GIS, or related field—or equivalent experience/training -Minimum 10 years of experience in geospatial projects and GIS data analytics -Minimum 5 years of team management experience -Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Pix4D, and TopoDOT (desirable) -Surveyor-in-Training (S.I.T.), Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), or GIS Professional (GISP) certification (preferred or ability to obtain) -Strong leadership and people management capabilities -Ability to manage projects and tasks within budget and schedule -Experience applying geospatial technologies to asset management programs (preferred) -Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities -Familiarity with traditional surveying methods and practices (required) -Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed -Ability to collaborate remotely with colleagues across multiple offices -Leadership training -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -Up to 20% travel
