The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair construction tools and equipment at the yard.

Tasks

-Assisting with general Yard operations. -Maintenance, diagnostics and repair of construction tools and equipment. Tasks including oil changes, blade and belt changes, cord and hose repairs, engine repairs. etc. -Inventory control of equipment, material and tools. Numbering and decaling of equipment. -Test tools and equipment to ensure they are working properly. -Performing daily inspections of tools, materials and equipment at the yard. -Disassemble and reassemble tools and equipment. -Repair or replace parts on tools and equipment and triage to appropriate third-party provider when necessary.

What You Bring

-Detail oriented, mechanically inclined with strong time management skills. -Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot clutches, hydraulics, and electrical components. -Must have a vehicle to commute to yard location. -Experience working with equipment such as small engines, skid-steers, and power tools is required. -Ability to lift 50+ lbs. -Towable equipment and trailer wiring. -Computer skills are considered an asset. -Welding experience considered an asset. -Ability to read and interpret technical and parts manuals. -3-5+ years of mechanic experience working on construction tools and equipment or relevant experience.
