Tasks

-Develop, design, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators for infrastructure and Light Rail Transit systems. -Integrate safety, environmental, and climate resiliency into building and refining a risk-based asset management and life cycle management strategy for the varied, fixed, and mobile assets owned by CT. -Collaborate with Corporate Priorities and Investment teams to create and submit supplemental grant/funding applications for division initiatives. -Realign and maintain the updated Technical Document Committee Terms of Reference (TOR) and scope. -Manage and complete hiring, coaching, mentoring, performance management, employee development, workload management, and leading a team of direct and indirect reports that oversee our Asset Management strategy and plan, including the asset condition assessment program. -Collaborate with Divisional Leaders to develop capital projects and maintenance programs for an optimized and value driven asset life cycle management. -Develop, monitor, and report on operational and project performance in monthly reports to the Director and General Manager. -Build divisional goals and objectives with Transit Service Systems Managers and Leaders. -Monitor and analyze financial reporting, including divisional capital and operational expenditures against allocated budget, and work with leaders to identify opportunities to maximize the utilization of funds for delivering services as well as resolve any discrepancies. -Provide data driven analysis to the Senior Management Team for One Calgary - Service Plans and Budget discussions with Council. -Collaborate with CT Managers to ensure that short- and long-term asset performance metrics maintain the expected level of service. -Develop, maintain, and sustain our Program and Project Management Framework. Coordinate a streamlined adoption and sustainment of the program and P2M by all sections and divisions within CT. -Lead the provision of strategic and operational support on various aspects of system performance, including maintenance training, certification, and compliance.

What You Bring

-Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. -Experience with creating and implementing strategic plans, developing and implementing key performance indicators/metrics, leading organization wide programs, and/or leading change will be considered an asset. -A degree in Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant professional engineering experience leading and managing engineering and construction projects obtained after receiving your P. Eng. Designation and a current licensure as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) complete with practicing status OR licensure and practicing status by the first day of work Click here for more details. -Success in this position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to effectively communicate, critical thinking, problem solving and decisions making alongside a demonstrated ability to manage staff. -At least 2 years of experience supervising staff.
