Intersect Power

The Role

Overview

Lead design and development of secure, scalable cloud solutions for internal apps.

Key Responsibilities

  • cloud architecture
  • bcdr planning
  • security compliance
  • automation design
  • infrastructure standards
  • database design

Tasks

Support planning and execution of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) strategies. Partner with IT and hardware/automation teams to integrate application and infrastructure needs. Collaborate with IT, compliance stakeholders, and external security providers to ensure applications and infrastructure adhere to security and regulatory standards. Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to continually enhance architecture and delivery processes. Provide technical mentorship to internal teams and external partners, and review solution designs for critical projects. As part of our Corporate Technology team, you will design and lead the development of secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions that power our internal applications and SaaS ecosystem. This is a hands-on role combining deep technical expertise with architectural leadership. You will be building the foundation of our cloud environment, driving automation, and ensuring every solution aligns with business goals, security standards, and long-term scalability. Define and maintain cloud infrastructure standards for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, with a primary focus on integration, automation, and security within the Google Cloud and Workspace ecosystem. Collaborate with IT and operations teams to define Service Level Objectives (SLOs), monitoring strategies, and automated recovery processes that ensure system reliability and performance. Work closely with software developers, DevOps, security, and product teams, including external/offshore resources, to ensure technical alignment with company priorities. Ensure architectural designs meet performance, security, compliance, and reliability requirements (NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001). Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade applications leveraging modern frameworks and diverse data technologies, including relational, document, and time-series databases (TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, MongoDB, Cosmos, Atlas, SQL Server). Design infrastructure to support applications across multiple runtimes (e.g., .NET, Java, Python) in Azure, AWS, and GCP environments. Incorporate cybersecurity best practices into architectural designs, aligning with our SASE and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) frameworks to ensure secure connectivity, identity-based access, and continuous compliance. Promote the deployment of automation-first principles across infrastructure and operations, building scalable, repeatable processes that accelerate delivery and improve service reliability.
