Tasks
-May be required to climb steps, stoop, bend, squat, or kneel to accomplish functions of job. -Visits job sites prior to delivery to ensure safe conditions and proper access is available. Notes any deficiencies and works with dispatch, sales and the customer to correct hazards. Evaluates trucking needs for specific jobs and directs the Logistics Service Center accordingly. -Provides job site feedback to sales and dispatch following the completion of the job. Attends post job meetings with customers. -weights and measures laws and regulations; -Communicates job status throughout the delivery process to the Logistics Service Center to maximize trucking and other resources. -Effectively diffuse issues at the lowest level possible; -May be required to perform activities around moving machinery and walking on uneven surfaces. -Schedule and organize large numbers of people and equipment efficiently and quickly; -Ensures Vulcan employees on the job site are complying with established safety procedures, policies, and practices. -Represent Vulcan in a professional manner to all customers, vendors, and internal personnel. -Reading and interpreting computer generated reports; -Logs each job site visit, noting any delays or concerns. -Visually inspect and monitor material sampling and testing to ensure customer requirements are met. Communicates concerns to quality control, production, sales, and dispatch. -Anticipates delays and/or deficiencies in service to proactively eliminate or minimize the impact to the customer. -Attends pre-job customer meetings to assist in the coordination of the project scheduled and to proactively address customer and Vulcan concerns or potential problems. -Directs deliveries into the job site and unloading areas. Monitors the number of trucks on site and works with dispatch to adjust delivery times to avoid over/under trucking.

What You Bring
-Basic knowledge of the technical specifications of all associated materials; -Skill in providing excellent customer service; -Work environment will be both indoors in an office and outside in the quarry or plant. In the office employees will occasionally be required to sit at a desk or work station. -Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience which includes sales, customer relations, and/or construction/transportation experience is required. -Communicate effectively by phone and in person, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner; -Knowledge of construction materials, including aggregates, asphalt and ready mix concrete, as well as their processes, and uses; -BA or BS in Business, Economics or Transportation/Logistics is preferred. -Good decision making ability- Think and act quickly and creatively to anticipate and resolve problems; -Work independently with minimal supervision; -High School diploma or equivalent is required -Willing to work a rotating schedule with varying shifts. -Knowledge and awareness of site hazards. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE); -Multi-task and work well under pressure; -Position requires ability to work at multiple sites depending on business needs; -Requires use of computerized equipment and technology. -Basic mathematical computations;
