Overview

Operate and maintain assay lab, preparing and analyzing routine plant and pit samples.

Tasks

-Accurate and timely reporting of analytical results -Perform QAQC checks and ensure results are within control limits -Inspect the workplace to identify hazards and assist to implement effective controls -Ensure responses are captured promptly and communicated to the appropriate teams -Ensuring you follow MinRes Laboratory procedures & adhere to Health & Safety Standards -Contribute to daily PSI meetings -Complete preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment -Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in relation to procedures, systems and work-related activities and initiate improvement action via an entry in the Laboratory Improvement Request Register

What You Bring

-Current WA C Class Drivers Licence -Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines -Previous years working in similar position with hands-on experience in any of XRF or ICP (Highly desirable) -Full Australian working rights -MSL40118 Certificate 1V Laboratory Technician (Highly desirable) -High attention to detail -Ability to work cohesively in close knit team environment
