Overview

Lead GIS-based master planning projects, managing schedule, budget and stakeholder coordination.

Tasks

-Foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team. -Communicate complex planning concepts and project updates clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. -Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address delays or issues. -Facilitate the integration of planning concepts such as sustainable development, smart city principles, mobility, and environmental considerations. -Ensure compliance with client requirements, contractual obligations, and relevant standards/guidelines. -Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consulting partners, and regulatory agencies. -Contribute technically to the preparation of master plans, regional development plans, land use plans, infrastructure layouts, and development regulations. -Track and report on project progress, budget status, and resource allocation to senior management and clients as required. -Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members (planners, architects, engineers, GIS experts, etc.) to integrate diverse planning components. -Supervise, mentor, and support team members to build competencies and promote a collaborative and productive work environment. -Ensure the timely preparation, review, and quality control of all project documentation, reports, drawings, and statutory submissions. -Develop and oversee detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets to ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope. -Utilize GIS, data analysis tools, and planning software to support the development and presentation of planning solutions. -Organize and participate in meetings, presentations, workshops, and public consultations, ensuring stakeholder buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Bring

-Experience on large-scale planning/design projects and working with multidisciplinary teams. -Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. -Experience with government clients and/or donor-funded projects is advantageous. -10 years of relevant professional experience in urban or regional planning/design projects, with demonstrable project management experience. -Master's degree in urban planning, Regional Planning, Urban Design, or related field from a recognized institution.
