Tasks

-Review electrical and electro-mechanical designs, prepare detailed descriptions of review findings. -Direct and/or participate in the new equipment qualification efforts at supplier facilities and on the trains including functional testing, electrical performance, environmental, and electromagnetic compatibility. -Hands-on engineering work with the rail transit vehicles, including testing, investigations of equipment malfunctions, and condition assessments. -Participate in the design review meetings and technical working sessions with the carbuilders and equipment suppliers. -Develop technical specifications and conceptual designs for the new and upgraded rail vehicles and the on-board systems. -Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions -Prepare and/or review rail vehicle and vehicle on-board systems test procedures.
