  • Build, Supervise & lead teams
  • Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure the Foremen and Superintendent manage crews and subcontractors to provide a safe work environment
  • Construct the project and work with the management team to maximize the profit of the project
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure Client expectations are being met, along with the agreement and scope of work
  • Write reports, business correspondence and document project activities
  • Keep Project Manager informed of overall construction activity progress & performance along with monitoring and review of construction key performance indicators
  • Work closely with the Field Operations team on resource management to ensure we have the right people on the project at the right times to drive project profitability
  • Support Business Development, Estimating and Preconstruction efforts as needed

  • Care for and sustain business relationships with multiple clients
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
  • Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorized disclosure, modification or destruction
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and the general public
  • Manage the construction package elements of the procurement process
  • Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulations
  • Work with the Foremen and Superintendent to facilitate an environment for all employees to work in a respectful, constructive and positive environment
  • Monitor and oversee construction activities and personnel within the delivery timelines, including development plans and training requirements
  • Monitor contract performance against project milestones, budget and other established metrics
  • Complete personnel administrative tasks in a timely manner; expectation documents, performance management, task planners, employee change forms, etc.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Cooperate with all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all times
  • Build and maintain a relationship with Client Site Representatives to ensure open communication and trust
  • Act as a role model for Saiia’s vision and values, behaving in ways that are in alignment with Saiia’s ways of working while encouraging other to do so as well
  • Oversee all construction activities, specific to assigned discipline, on assigned project
  • Be proactive in equipment management, preventing equipment damages and planning of equipment resources
  • Ensure all work in assigned discipline is done to Saiia Safety and Quality standards

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Moderate noise levels.
  • This position may be assigned to either a project site or the corporate office. Estimated travel requirement 25% of time.
  • Works in an office environment at the corporate office or in the field.
  • Communicate effectively with crew leads on goals and expectations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have and maintain a valid state issued Driver’s License with driving record that meets Saiia’s risk management guidelines.
  • Three years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management
