LABORER HELPER (UVS)

Overview

Assist with installation, wiring, and assembly of RF/audio/video systems on ships and labs.

Tasks

-Work in tight, cramped spaces such as equipment racks, cableways, and under false decks -Working closely with the government sponsor(s) and other contractors/subcontractors in federal facilities -Working around grinding and welding during ship installations -Climb ladders, -Assist with mechanical systems integration assembly, installations such as equipment racks, components -Keep manager and supervisors apprised of their progress and completion of individual tasks, request new tasks when complete, maintain ability to work well with others, adhere to contract requirements, and comply with company policies and procedures -We expect the employee to keep manager and supervisors apprised of their progress, maintain ability to work well with others, adhere to contract requirements, and comply with company policies and procedures

What You Bring

-Effective oral and written communication skills -Must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance -Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record -Must be willing to travel up to 75% CONUS/OCONUS -Ability for work to be conducted in a timely and professional manner. -Experience reading drawings, process and or procedures -High School diploma or equivalent -Wiring experience -Climbing and working from ladders, -Must be able to provide driving record upon request -Ability to carry 50 pounds unaided or 90-pound loads aided. -Working in space not climate controlled. -Must be willing to work extended hours including weekends and holidays -US citizen. -Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test -Must have experience working with mechanical and or assembly of systems or components (type of system is unrestricted)
