Tasks
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with NEC contract requirements. Contribute to mentoring and development of junior team members. Provide technical support to project teams in planning and project controls processes. Monitor project performance, preparing accurate reporting and forecasts for stakeholders. Support planning and scheduling for major heavy civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects while developing your expertise in project planning and controls. Assist in identifying project risks, delays, and opportunities, contributing to mitigation strategies. Support early warning (Clause 60) and compensation event assessments (Clauses 61 & 62). As a Planning and Project Controls Engineer, you will support project teams in developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, cost controls, and risk management processes. You will work closely with Senior Planners, Project Managers, and commercial teams to ensure accurate reporting, effective forecasting, and timely decision-making to optimise project delivery. Assist with baseline programme creation (Clause 31) and regular programme updates (Clause 32). What You Bring
Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methodologies and project phasing. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and familiarity with NEC contract planning functions. Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. You will play a vital role in supporting the planning, scheduling, and control of major infrastructure projects across the UK.
