The Role

Overview

Perform interior/exterior maintenance, repairs, and equipment upkeep for community.

Tasks

-Always show respect for residents and community staff, providing excellent customer service -Report equipment malfunctions and breakdowns as well as any hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner -Follow all safety/OSHA requirements -Work with vendors as instructed, such as landscaping, painting, asphalt, etc. -Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned -Respond to all repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staff -Ensure that all maintenance items are kept in a safe area to prevent injuries -Perform routine interior and exterior community maintenance, as well as equipment maintenance as scheduled and requested -Maintain resident privacy and receive proper authority before entering resident apartments

What You Bring

-Basic understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systems -1-3 years of previous maintenance experience in a similar facility preferred -Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as hazardous materials -High School degree or equivalent -Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends -Walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting to 80 lbs. -Must be comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects -Strong customer service skills -Minimum of 18 years of age -Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Regular attendance and punctuality -HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications may be required in many communities, based on staffing levels
