  • Pursue new CEI opportunities with FDOT, including proposal development, marketing, and strategic business development.
  • Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Direct specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
  • Lead and manage complex CEI projects, ensuring full compliance with FDOT standards and specifications.
  • Build, mentor, and oversee multidisciplinary CEI teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with FDOT representatives, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve project challenges and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Review and approve project documentation, including inspection reports, change orders, and final estimates.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Expertise in roadway and bridge construction methods including drainage, piling, retaining walls, paving, concrete/asphalt, and lighting/signage.
  • Minimum 15 years of post-licensure engineering experience, with at least 10 years in transportation-related CEI projects.
  • FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).
  • Ability to evaluate project claims and delays and coordinate timely resolutions.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida is required.
  • Proven experience managing FDOT projects and familiarity with FDOT policies, procedures, and specifications.
  • Experience developing and managing a CEI group.
