Overview

Fit and hand-weld parts using MIG welding per specifications, read drawings, ensure safety.

Tasks

-Ensure paperwork is filled out completely and accurately -Individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly -Performs daily inspection and pre-startup PM -Clean-up of working area and entire surroundings

What You Bring

-High school diploma or GED, preferred -Individual is consistently at work on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance -Ability to read a tape measure and caliper -Ability to work overtime and weekends as requested -At least 1 year of welding experience and/or training, preferred -Lifting up to 40 lbs. -Must be able to perform set-ups for jobs (Build custom welding jigs according to requirements) -Intermittent bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking, and squatting -Ability to understand welding symbols and specifications according to AWS D1.1, D1.4 and D1.6 -Ability to read drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements -Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols -Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals -Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance following best practices
