The Role

Overview

Perform O&M, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial solar sites near Evansville, IN

Tasks

-Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds). -Testing/troubleshooting installed solar equipment and ensuring proper working order. -Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment. -Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements. -Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment. -Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules. -Takes initiative to escalate issues at site.

What You Bring

-Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors. -Preventative Maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment is preferred. -2+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial operations and maintenance (O&M) on solar power plants is preferred. -Candidates should possess strong mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting and installation skills. -High aptitude and a strong work ethic are a must. -Able work in a solo as well as a group environment. -Specific solar experience with Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Stations Equipment (TMEIC/SMA/Sungrow/Nextracker/ATI, etc.) is preferred. -Travel requirements dependent on support of the company (up to 25% travel). -Ability to train, mentor, and develop laborers into Apprentices. -Must have a strong safety background with experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). -Must live within approximately 50 miles of the Evansville, Indiana areas.
