The Role
Overview
Supervise warehouse staff, manage inventory, safety, and shipping/receiving operations.

Tasks
-Maintains the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are running properly and up to safety standards of OSHA and the Federal DOT -Assist warehouse employees in loading and unloading trucks. This may include staging trucks to be loaded at night -Conduct a daily safety walk-through to ensure that the warehouse is organized, clean, and safe at all times -Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. -Coordinating the Work and Activities of Others - Getting members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks. -Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. -Selects, develops and motivates assigned warehouse personnel -Controls costs through productivity of personnel, efficient utilization of storage space and proper protection of stored materials -Responsible for inventory accuracy. Conduct daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory counts and percentages -Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. -Identifies the causes of product losses and takes corrective action -Motivate and encourage teamwork to ensure set productivity targets are met -Performing General Physical Activities - Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. -Handling and Moving Objects - Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. -Making Decisions and Solving Problems - Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. -Supervise a crew of 6-10 warehouse employees -Responsible for enforcing company policies of conduct and safety, and initiates disciplinary action as needed -Properly utilizes docks, warehouse layout and route truck loading patterns to minimize loading time -Conduct monthly safety meetings and quarterly driver safety meetings -Manage PeopleNet computer system in company trucks to monitor driver’s hours of service and on-duty time, ensuring that drivers are in compliance with Federal DOT regulations -Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships - Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time. -Strategic planning of material transportation requirements – organize delivery routes and determine proper placement of resources that will result in the most efficient delivery of products to customer while maintaining profitability and monitor shipping to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time -Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively. -Implement and maintain bin location system to aid in storage and picking of goods

What You Bring
-Authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship for any length of time -Minimum of 3 years of forklift experience -Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, as needed. -Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). -Extent Flexibility - The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. -Bar code scanner -Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. -Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. -While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finder, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. -Office Suite Technology -Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record -Bar Code reader equipment -Prefer 2 years prior experience in a supervisory position -CDL Class A Truck -Electronic Email Software -Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. -Must be at least 18 years of age -Ability to pass drug test and background verifications -Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. -Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. -Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. -Clamp Truck
