The Role

Overview

Inspect transportation construction projects for safety, quality, and compliance

Tasks

-Perform inspection of contractor’s operations on a variety of transportation projects including roadway and bridge construction to verify conformance to plans and specifications. -Measure and track quantities of pay items -Performs routine material testing -Gathers and maintains record documents including material certifications, testing reports, and inspector’s daily diaries

What You Bring

-Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening -Construction inspection experience on NCDOT projects preferred -NCDOT certifications including Concrete Field Technician, QMS Roadway Technician, and Conventional Density Testing preferred -Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution; or two years equivalent CEI experience. -Must successfully complete and pass JMT's drug screening process, thereafter subject to random and for cause drug and alcohol testing. -Active driver’s license
