Tasks

As the central link between sales, scheduling, operations, customer service, dispatch, and supply, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring everything runs to plan. You’ll manage production schedules, communicate updates, resolve issues, and help deliver the right product, at the right time, every time. It’s a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your ability to stay ahead of the curve will make a real impact. -Confirm delivery timelines with site personnel before scheduling work -Ensure all drawings and documents are attached to schedules when required -Work closely with supervisors and operations teams to help achieve DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time) targets -Manage and allocate customer orders into production efficiently and accurately -Plan, monitor and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer and operational requirements -Communicate delays, updates, and changes to relevant teams across the business -Adjust production runs in response to changing demands without compromising delivery

You thrive in a collaborative setting, communicate clearly across teams, and have a strong focus on customer service, continuous improvement, and delivering results. You’re an organised and proactive problem-solver with a strong background in manufacturing, production planning, or scheduling. You understand how production and supply chain activities connect and are comfortable navigating shifting priorities in a high-volume environment. -Proven experience working with Lean or Competitive Manufacturing principles -Experience in steel, construction, or supply chain industries will be highly regarded, but not essential. -Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills -A customer-first mindset, strong initiative, and the ability to work well under pressure -A qualification in Production, Manufacturing, or Engineering (preferred but not essential if experience is strong) -Experience with planning or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Symix, PlanX) and solid Microsoft Office skills. -Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including at least 2 years in a planning or scheduling role
