Overview

Handles receiving, storing, and moving materials in a steel fabrication facility.

Tasks

-Checks bunker inventory on a weekly basis (entire yard covered at least every 2 months) -Work is performed in the fabrication shop and outdoors in inclement weather. -Receives and stores incoming materials as required, ensuring quantity, lot numbers, expiration dates and any other pertinent information that may apply to associated paperwork (work orders, packing slips, bills of lading, etc.) -Ensures receiving counts match purchase order documents, assist in resolving discrepancies. -Maintains control of all material, including that supplied by customers. -Carries out material acceptance inspections, refers concerns to Quality Control if needed. -Uses material handling equipment, safely and efficiently, to transport products to shipping locations or delivery platforms. -Loads and unloads various types of freight from incoming deliveries. -Receives incoming materials, keeps yard organized.
