The Role

Overview

Sell ag parts/services, manage accounts, prospect new customers, and provide after‑sales support.

Tasks

-Follow up on customer concerns and communicate effectively to the appropriate Management Team -Gather competitive product and pricing information and supply to management -Visit customers in Area of Responsibility (AOR); a minimum of 1 visit per month -Assist the Parts & Service departments to increase profitability and performance -Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction -Participate in all required training and development opportunities -Regularly prospect and cold call new accounts to discuss new promotions and programs -Implement yearly territory plan including a customer target list to maximize sales potential -Develop prospective customers with a goal of 2 per month -Work cooperatively with management to meet and maximize budget goals and expand customer base by presenting and implementing new marketing strategies -Maintain and utilize the database records related to each customer including sales meetings, opportunities, quotes, notes, and any other documentation as required -Keep customers current on new products and services -Maintain cleanliness, scheduled maintenance, and inventory for the company vehicle -Follow-up with customers on unit and machine performance

What You Bring

-2 - 3 years previous of sales experience in a similar role, or in a Parts or Service Department -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Knowledge of agricultural parts, operations, and industry -Excellent communication skills -Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines -Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude towards internal and external situations -Requires travel within assigned territories with the potential of returning home most nights -Valid Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract will be required -Exemplary customer service skills -Strong decision-making skills -Ability to work flexible hours
