Overview

Nightshift operator handling batch production, material handling, and packaging.

Tasks

-using lifting equipment and forklift trucks -cleaning and maintaining work areas, machinery and equipment -storing goods and raw materials in the yard or warehouse -staging materials prior to batch production -operating production line equipment, for example, a high-speed disperser -checking Raw Material approval / shelf life status prior to use -feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery -assessing tasks for risks and implementing control measures -reporting any problems during the shift to the Lead Operators including any maintenance issues -following standard process instructions to minimize batch variance. -finishing products, for example, applying labels and packing goods ready for dispatch -accurately weighing Raw Materials and Mixtures -monitoring the production process

What You Bring

-good computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) -On Time In Full Performance (OTIF) -ability to work under pressure -an awareness of environment, health and safety issues -Right First Time Performance (RFT) -good team working skills -accurately completing all relevant paperwork -good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers -a willingness to work flexibly -the ability to work quickly and methodically -the ability to follow instructions -ability to work independently and to carry out batch processing to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices -no specific knowledge and experience is required but, if not already possessed, forklift truck counterbalance and reach licenses must be achieved within, ideally, twelve months of commencement, and a nationally recognized qualification, e.g. Level 1/2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations or Level 2 Certificate in Manufacturing Practices, is desirable -must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
