The Role
Overview
Assist on water and civil infrastructure projects, gaining design and construction experience.

Tasks
-Assist Project Managers in the design and construction of civil-engineering related projects such as various street designs, utilities, water distribution systems and other municipal improvements. -Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight. -Perform construction observation and site reports on water related projects. -Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. -Work alongside professional surveyors to assist with data gathering for designs or perform construction staking. -May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.

What You Bring
-Completion of at least one semester towards a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field -Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. -Experience on civil, water, wastewater, or rural water projects -AutoCAD experience -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations -Ability to work in adverse weather conditions. -Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain. -Minimum GPA of 3.0 -Ability to travel as required -Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. -May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds. -Completion of at least 4 semesters towards a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field
