Overview

Tasks
This is a hands-on position where your designs will directly impact residents’ safety, delivering IoT-enabled solutions that improve compliance, efficiency, and quality of life. -Establish and support PLM best practices including version control and change management -Contribute to product validation, compliance, and certification processes -Carry out validation testing to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards (EMC, LVD, safety testing) -Design and develop electronic circuits, PCBs, and power systems for Auro’s smart compliance products -Partner with suppliers, PCB fabricators, and assembly houses to maintain quality and readiness -Specify and source electrical components to ensure suitability, reliability, and compliance -Produce detailed schematics, layouts, and technical documentation packages including specifications, BOMs, and test procedures -Work closely with mechanical, firmware, and product teams to ensure seamless integration -Support design for manufacturability and assembly for both prototype and volume production

What You Bring
-Self-motivated with strong project management skills and ability to work independently -Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline -Knowledge of regulatory standards in fire safety, emergency lighting, or access control -Experience with IoT device development and low-power system design -Experience with PLM systems and design validation processes -Strong understanding of circuit design, power management, and communication interfaces (LoRa, BLE, Wi-Fi) -2+ years’ experience in electrical/electronic design -Hands-on prototyping skills (breadboarding, soldering, test equipment use) -Knowledge of compliance testing and certification processes -Knowledge of real-world installation conditions and electrical constraints -Proficiency with PCB design software (e.g., Altium, KiCad) -Experience producing technical documentation and production packages with accuracy and attention to detail -Experience with firmware/hardware integration and debugging -Familiarity with EMC testing, QC methodologies, and production workflows (prototype to scale-up)
