The Role

Overview

Oversees daily site operations, schedule, quality control, and subcontractor coordination.

Tasks

-Assist Project Manager in developing the project schedule. -Coordinate with equipment facility and outside equipment providers for project equipment, i.e. cranes, trailers, trucks, Conexus, etc. -Participates in department meetings as requested -Become familiar with plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials and inspection procedures. -Assure all tools from job site are accounted for. -In coordination with the Safety Director, facilitate weekly safety meetings at job sites. -Provide guidance on activities including set-up, work in-place, and project closeout/demobilization -Support Safety Director with site safety audits. -Collect, review and submit all field staff timecards weekly. -Monitor and address issues within weekly labor reports -Attend preconstruction meetings. -Establish and maintain benchmarks and reference points for ongoing layout of work. -Complete and submit all paperwork as required. -Manage quality control of self-perform and subcontractors' work. -Close out field office and project as necessary. -Participate in site orientation training. -In coordination with the Safety Director, communicate, implement and enforce company safety policy as it pertains to assigned project. -Attend job meetings and/or any other meetings that may be required for the successful and timely completion of current projects. -Set up field office (as necessary), communications and temporary services as required. -Coordinate appropriate staff per job, and when necessary and in coordination with Human Resources, hire additional staff. -Performs additional assignments as requested and maintains a teamwork attitude. -In coordination with the department head and Human Resources, monitor and follow up on field staff performance bringing in Human Resources when necessary for performance issues. -Attend walk through at job completion. -Review and approve craft worker certifications and training for specialty craft roles -Schedule and attend all required inspections. -Work with job site representatives and/or the subcontractors to resolve any conflicts that may arise and communicate any such conflicts immediately to the Project Manager. -Purchase supplies and equipment as needed for jobs. -Schedule all employees, subcontractors and deliveries as needed to not adversely impact the project schedule. -Receive all pertinent project information from Project Manager.

What You Bring

-Current Driver's license -Passed the State Union Apprenticeship Program -High School diploma or G.E.D required -Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices -Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience -Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
