Overview
Senior QA Inspector for water/wastewater and linear infrastructure projects
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Monitoring contractor work for compliance with applicable safety and environmental legislation -Monitoring Contractor work for compliance with contract requirements -Coordinating material testing and supporting commissioning activities -Maintaining project records including diary entries and collecting as-built information -Making payment recommendations to Contract Administrator -Coordinating and assisting with expediting contract administration documentation including -Work outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the year as necessary -Identifying and proactively assisting with the resolution of emerging project challenges -Working on project job sites in various Cities and Municipalities across our Region -Recording and monitoring contractor progress against the project schedule -Completing day-to-day quality assurance inspections for Multi-Disciplinary and Linear projects -Managing construction project field teams and mentoring of junior staff as necessary -Taking action, in consultation with Contract Administrator and in accordance with contract -Coordinating contractor’s work activities with the client, approval authorities, and utility -Collaborating with residents and local property owners to record and resolve field-level issues

What You Bring
-Valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license -Previous training and experience in confined space entry and/or Working at Heights training is -Experience in design of facility, sewer & or water main work is an asset -Sound judgment and ability to work independently and take initiative -Minimum 10 years' experience in Multi-Disciplinary and or linear infrastructure projects. -Strong teamwork ability with strong written and oral communication skills -Certification as a Certified Inspector of Sediment & Erosion Control (CISEC) is an asset -Completing required training including but not limited to First Aid, Confined Space Entry and -AutoCAD, MS Project, and Primavera P6 experience is an asset -Working safely and in conformance with GHD’s Behavior-Based Safety culture -experience while in the process of certification -CET designation, C.Tech, or PEO EIT or P.Eng. designation, or equivalent training and
