Lead EHS programs for a manufacturing plant, ensuring safety, compliance, and sustainability.

Tasks
-Develop an EHS strategy for the factory to improve employee safety. -Maintain and enhance safe work standards and practices. -Support EHS incident investigations, to include, tracking and record-keeping requirements. -Assist Regional/US EHS Specialists and Teams as required. -Provide technical guidance to employees regarding environmental, health and safety related issues or concerns, and regulatory compliance. -Develop and lead the plant sustainment activities to reduce the plant’s carbon footprint. -Maintain knowledge with all respective regulations and standards in regional or local law. -Improve employee and management EHS awareness. -Regularly conduct safety training for Siemens employees and maintain an employee safety training database. -Participate in audit activities including identification of EHS issues and implementation of corrective actions. -Advocate for a Zero Harm safety culture that protects the safety of Siemens’ employees, subcontractors, and customers. -Analyze and maintain EHS data and prepare EHS regulatory compliance reporting, both internal and external. -Recognize, evaluate, and recommend controls for workplace hazards. -Contribute to internal and external EHS audits, in support of the accountable EHS Officer. -Lead and facilitate continuous improvement activities to address ergonomic concerns. -Manage worker’s compensation claims and return-to-work program.

What You Bring
-4+ years’ experience in a technical EHS role focusing on Safety and Environmental Compliance -1+ years’ experience working on cross-functional teams and leading EHS targets and objectives. -Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. -Strong writing capabilities, especially with writing clear, concise EHS procedures -Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks for different business units and work independently with minimal supervision. -Experience working with ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO18001 and Management System Standards -1+ years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment -Demonstrate operational knowledge of facilities, and a keen understanding of electro-mechanical assembly processes. -2+ years’ of prior EHS lead experience -1+ years’ experience working with EPA and OSHA regulations and industry EHS standards. -Certified Safety Specialist (CSP) certification, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) certification -Willingness and ability to travel to other plant sites and attend EHS conferences as required. -Bachelors Degree
