Tasks

-Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. -Conducting power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and transient stability analysis, to assess system performance and identify potential issues. -Designing and implementing protection and control schemes to ensure the reliability and security of power systems. -Participating in the development of renewable energy projects, including integration of solar, wind, and energy storage systems into existing grids. -Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in power systems technology to drive continuous improvement in project outcomes. -Collaborating with clients to understand their unique challenges and objectives, and delivering innovative solutions that exceed their expectations. -Developing relationships with clients, identifying and pursuing project opportunities, and / or providing support and direction on tenders and bids. -Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive power system designs that align with client requirements and industry standards. -Evaluating equipment specifications, such as transformers, switchgear, and generators, to ensure compatibility and optimal performance within the power network.

What You Bring

-Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences. -Extensive experience in power system analysis, design, and optimisation, preferably within the Middle East energy sector. -Strong understanding of network planning principles, grid codes, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the power industry. -Professional Chartered Engineer status or eligibility for such recognition. -Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. -Proficiency in industry-standard software for power system modelling, such as PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or ETAP. -A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
