Assembly Technician 4A - Concrete Products

Overview

Assemble automated machinery using schematics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and tools.

Tasks

-Demonstrate drilling and tapping by hand or air for assembly requirements -Maintain a clean and safe work environment -Actively participates in 6S and other Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts -Identify and use SAE, Metric, Fine and Coarse Fasteners -Mount and wire switches and terminal panels to print -Actively participates in safety programs and complies with all Columbia safety policies

What You Bring

-Basic knowledge of electrical wiring -LEAN Principles -High school diploma or GED required -Intermediate ability to read hydraulic and/or pneumatic schematics -Self-motivated and has the ability to work with supervision -Forklift, Crane, Jib Crane (per Company certification) -Basic equipment recognition -1-3 years in an assembly area or related field preferred -Intermediate print and schematics reading skills -Displays attention to detail and consistently follows Standard Work Instructions (when available) when completing tasks -Read tape measure within 1/16" -Experience with welding and torch preferred -Ability to have own tools in a roll around toolbox -Ability to create ECR’s -Ability to read a tape measure within 1/16” -Ability to be comfortable working at various heights-will be performing work on ladders and platforms -Ability to foster and work within a team environment -Basic knowledge of electrical and volt meters -Ability to identify correct lubrication and correct amount -Intermediate print reading including electrical prints with continued knowledge with all other forms of prints -Proficient with power tools -Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects at one time -Ability to read a level correctly -Ability to follow written and verbal instructions -Communicates well with peers, supervisor, customers, vendors, and other departments -Read Level -Proficient at ECR changes (on the job training provided)
