Senior Electrical Engineer designing and overseeing building electrical systems.

Tasks
-Providing technical and administrative support through all phases of the project -Conduct necessary research to gather industry, field, and project specific data -Progress billing reviews -Attending site meetings and site reviews complete with reports -Developing various types of reports including schematic design, design development, building assessment, and design build/assist scope of work documents -Ensuring design conforms with all applicable codes and standards; -Working with prime consultants, engineering consultants, client and contractors; responding to technical queries -Preparing electrical drawings and specification -Construction administration responsibilities:Attending site meetings and site reviews complete with reportsShop drawing reviewsSI and CCN preparations.Contractor`s change quotation reviewsProgress billing reviewsFire alarm verification report reviews -Implement design concept through the preparation and production of drawings to detail medium voltage power utility design coordination, low voltage power, fire alarm, lighting, and specialty low voltage systems rough-ins (i.e. telecomm., intrusion control, security, CCTV, door access controls, etc.)

What You Bring
-Excellent written and oral communications skills -Fire Alarm verification and telecommunication experience -Proficient in the use of ETAP/SKM power system design, AGi32 Lighting Design software -Ideally ten (10)+ years of electrical engineering experience working on institutional, commercial and light industrial projects -Licensed Professional Engineer. -SI and CCN preparations. -Membership or eligibility for registration with APEGS as P.Eng. will be considered -Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code (NEC or IEC exposure is an asset). -University Degree in Electrical Engineering plus six (6) years of electrical engineering experience working on institutional, commercial and light industrial projects -Experience with a variety of computer aided design platforms including ETAP/SKM, Revit MEP, AutoCAD and Microstation for the production of contract documents -Experience leading electrical design and commissioning preferably encompassing: electrical distribution systems and equipment up to 25kV, variable speed drives, instrumentation & control systems -Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work within multi-disciplinary environment -Proficient in the use of power analysis software such as ETAP and SKM is an asset -Saskatchewan Building Code and National Energy
