Lead planner overseeing planning, scheduling and delivery of transmission & distribution projects

Tasks
-Advises on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively. -Persuading and influencing colleagues. -You will commit to making a positive impact for our people, our clients, and our planet, and take ownership for holding others to account who do not uphold the Mace values. -You will use your network to identify talent, lead recruitment, and manage the development, retention and mobility of people, and support our people to achieve their highest potential. -Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. -Building and leading a high performing team/s. -Manage and resolve any actual or potential conflicts with the client or project stakeholders. -Supports senior management in negotiations, contract development, due diligence & other business development. -Oversees planning/scheduling, EVM, project controls methodologies -Identifying and analysing business risks. -You will be a leading advocate of Mace's value of safety first, and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards. -Spotting, developing and coaching talented individuals. -Leads the planning team and provides leadership and direction through managers/team. -Develops internal connections. -Undertakes tasks required to full fill the requirements of the project/assignment. -Develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with client/s and other project stakeholders (internal and external). -You will mentor, coach, and develop your project team and provide an environment to share knowledge and experience. -Creates plans and analyses trends using numerical and statistical techniques. -You will champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage. -Promotes the business and winning work. -You will support senior management in negotiations, contract development and other business development, ensuring that due diligence is applied. -You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centres of excellence, Mace way control centre and knowledge hub. -You will be responsible for the long-term success of planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs, and the overall contribution to the broader company goals. -You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives. -You will be responsible for ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. -Inspires and empower individuals within their portfolio to deliver high quality standards and outputs. -Provides performance management, technical & career development and coaching. -Manages planning/scheduling delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes. -You will influence long term development of strategy for a function or business unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.

What You Bring
-Able to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome. -Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise. -Influences complex requirements and communicates analysis and corrective measures effectively. -Ability to communicate effectively with client/s, project team and stakeholders. -Working towards chartered/registered member of a relevant institution accreditation from recognised industry body (e.g APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA). -Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on. -Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. -Expert knowledge of schedule management tools & software. -Relevant CSCS card. -Mastery in setting up effective planning/schedule. management systems & procedures. -Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams. -Degree (or equivalent) with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the construction, programme, project or commercial management disciplines. -Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the consult sector. -Strong commercial and financial acumen. -You will possess expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio. -Excellent attention to detail & able to validate & check schedule management inputs, recording & reports produced, providing commentary & analysis. -Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
