Tasks

-Develop details for concrete and steel bridges, which may include prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and steel plate girder. -Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and sketches for conventional concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls, and miscellaneous structures using computer-aided design software -Support Development of 3D Bridge Models

What You Bring

-Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office -Attention to detail is highly desirable -Demonstrate ability to work independently with direction from supervisor and engineers -Associate’s degree in engineering technology -Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential -Experience working with BrIM, OBM, ORD or other 3D CAD software -Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure -Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools -Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts -Experience and knowledge of TxDOT CAD Standards, knowledge and experience of other DOT Standards is a plus. -Experience in bridge structural drafting
