The Role

Overview

Lead a crew to install residential electrical systems for new single-family homes.

Tasks

-Quality & Efficiency: Maintain top-tier craftsmanship while driving speed and accuracy across all installations. -Construct 200 amp services in 30 minutes. -Safety Oversight: Enforce PPE usage and ensure full compliance with OSHA and IES safety protocols. -Communication: Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and builders to communicate materials needed and provide detailed completion lists. -Performance & Accountability: Push team members to improve every day, hold them accountable, and lead by example. -Crew Leadership: Lead and motivate a 3-man crew of electricians and apprentices to complete residential electrical installations efficiently and safely. -Construct 320 amp services in 1.5 hours. -Training & Mentorship: Teach efficient, high-quality electrical work “the IES way,” fostering growth among apprentices and electricians. -Electrical Installation: Perform and oversee rough-ins and trims for both track and custom homes, ensuring compliance with NEC and IES standards.

What You Bring

-Comfortable working outdoors in varying Texas weather conditions. -Must pass background check and drug screening. -Valid Texas Wireman or Journeyman Electrician License required. -Proven ability to lead and manage a 3-man crew in residential new construction. -Minimum 5 years of residential electrical installation experience. -Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders. -Adaptability: Demonstrate willingness to learn and adopt IES-specific processes and systems. -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. -High energy, positive attitude, and strong communication skills. -Strong knowledge of NEC, blueprint reading, and residential wiring. -Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required.
