Tasks
-Assisting in the change systems/processes as required in support of the lean initiatives. -Provide regular updates to leadership. -Support engineered labor standards development and maintenance. -Coach and advocate for the Legrand Values to all employees. -Participate in Gemba walks and coaching employees on continuous improvement tools. -Participate in co-facilitating or facilitating events, projects, and “just do it’s”. -Creating and implementing standard work while teaching/coaching leaders to do the same. -Assisting in identifying on-going training needs. -Continually update labor standards / make spans. -Coaching and following up on pre-work and post work standards. -Utilize value stream mapping techniques to design optimal information, material, and flow methodology. -Executing against long and short-term objectives to support the Plant’s KPI’s and goals. -Monitor and report on key metrics. -Help update and maintain visual performance tools, including tier boards. -Drive Lean culture and behaviors through coaching employees and following the Legrand Way. -Audit the areas after improvements are implemented. -Implementing tactical strategies to achieve the desired vision. -Working with necessary site personnel to identify, address, and eliminate process related obstacles. -Facilitate change from a position of an influencer. -Perform the Legrand Way RADAR to identify focus areas to improve in lean culture.

What You Bring
-Experience in a world class lean environment in preferred. -Experience developing and maintaining engineered labor standards utilizing a predetermined motion time system is preferred. -Ability to interpret a variety of technical processes. -Operations or Engineering background is preferred. -Ability to energize and motivate teams. -Three to Five years of experience supporting Lean/CI activities in an industrial manufacturing or engineer-to-order manufacturing environment. -The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where, under certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required. -Ability to write reports, general business correspondence, and procedure manuals. -Knowledge of basic lean concepts and continuous improvement tools. -Ability to create standard work document. -Ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing work environment. -Ability to lead without direct authority. -Able to lift and carry up to 25lbs. -Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field. (Equivalent education/experience will be considered). -Ability to define problem areas, collect data, and establish facts. -Strong capability with personal computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). -Must be a self-motivated learner. -Must possess strong written and oral communication and presentation skill with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. -Ability to effectively facilitate activities and discussions using a defined process. -Capability to recognize conflict and take action within scope of the role. -Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
