Manage commercial aspects of civil engineering projects for the Environment Agency.

Tasks

-Support tendering and estimating processes -Produce weekly cost/value reports and monthly reconciliations -Manage subcontractor procurement and final accounts -Prepare and submit applications for payment and final accounts -Prepare documentation for variations, claims, and additional payments -Support and employee infrastructure embedded in the business as a platform for personal and professional development creating pathways for unrivalled career development and progression opportunities internally. -Liaise with clients on all commercial matters -Provide commercial support to site teams and procurement functions -Mentor and support trainee/apprentice Quantity Surveyors -Ensure timely receipt of payments aligned with contract terms

What You Bring

-Strong commercial acumen and contract knowledge -Experience in civil engineering contracting (rail or water sector beneficial) -Membership of RICS, ICES, or similar (or working towards) -Proficiency in MS Office and relevant commercial tools -Lineside Civils, Cabling, Trough Routes & Telecoms -Excellent communication and collaboration skills -Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
