The Role

Overview

Oversee shop fabrication, schedule, quality, and crew for automotive service projects.

Tasks

-Assisting with the design of all build fixtures. -Ensure that inspection reports are completed. -Providing required information for scheduling trucks. -Responsible for all finished units that leave the shop. -Assign manpower to maintain shop flow. -Reviewing drawings prior to the beginning of fabrication. -Organize and schedule flow of material to maintain schedule. -Report on the percentage of completion for each work order for the weekly production meeting. -Track material from start to finish.

What You Bring

-Hi-lo License. -Rigging and overhead crane use. -Possess excellent communication skills. -Conforms to Sylvan and OSHA safety procedures. -Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, positive “can-do” attitude. -AWS welding certification. -Vocational training certificate or College degree. -5 years’ experience as a Shop Foreman. -Proficient with Microsoft software. -Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. -Must have experience fabricating some of the following: Overhead and Inverted Power & Free Conveyors, Two Strand Conveyors, Roller Flight Conveyors, Friction Conveyors, Power Roll Bed Conveyors, Cross Transfer Conveyors, Lift Tables, Hold Tables, Turn Tables, Vertical Drop Lifters, Flat Top Conveyors, Fork Transfers
