The Role
Overview
Assist in managing engineering and construction tasks for nuclear SMR projects

Tasks
-With regard to that portion of the work assigned, develop complete understanding of contract plans and specifications. -Inspect subordinates’ work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Prepare and review design concept drawings for equipment using input from various technical disciplines. -Manage document control; receive and log in new issue drawings and other contract documents; maintain document control log. -Perform integrated engineering processes to fulfill project requirements and achieve target dates. -Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed. -Recognizes, defines, and resolves problems within assigned area. -Author and review designs, specifications, analyses, and drawings in compliance with engineering principles and applicable standards. -Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software with input from other project management personnel.

What You Bring
-Experience working with engineers and fabricators to develop designs and drawings -Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university. -Regular, reliable attendance -Compliance with strict quality assurance standards and on time delivery -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Knowledge, application and understanding of ASME Codes is desired. -Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent -Excellent attention to detail and capability for producing error-free documents. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Experience with using industry codes to develop equipment design. -Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills -Travel (less than 20% of time) -Experience in the preparation of equipment sizing calculations, P&ID, PFD, and General Arrangement drawings for skid mounted or permanent equipment packages. -Knowledge of engineering design practices and principles (e.g. interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, fits, GD&T) -3-5+ years’ work experience in construction or engineering
