The Role

Overview

Operate and maintain effluent treatment plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance.

Tasks

-Utilising plant information, identify any changes in system performance and/or potential operational problems. Make recommendations to return plant to its optimum condition. -Identify your training needs to the Operations Manager. -Gather all systems information and complete plant logs to understand the function and operation of the ETP on the site. -5S Standards and maintain. -Maintain good housekeeping practices. -Proactively managing external relationships with the client, sub-contractors and regulators (if required). -Promptly raise any issues which could affect both the client and NSI. -Procure external supplies / services. -Establish and maintain professional relationships with customer personnel, NSI colleagues and sub-contractor staff. -Identify faults, evaluate solutions and implement agreed actions. -Develop good team working behaviours with the client and other NSI staff. -Work within the client and NSI HSE systems.

What You Bring

-Operational knowledge of wastewater treatment plant -NVQ Level 2 (Process Operations) or equivalent. Optionally the candidate can demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience in operating and maintaining process equipment in an Industrial environment. -Knowledge of Water and Wastewater treatment plants -Training in Environmental Health and Safety -Notice – 1 week during probation, increasing to 1 month thereafter -Health & Safety certificate. -Visible ownership on HSE issues at all levels both in the client organisation and within NSI. -Innovate in the workplace to bring improvement and opportunity. -Electrical Certified. -Probationary Period – 6 months -Ability and knowledge to complete repairs and maintain plant. -Demonstrate through experience, an ability to interpret technical information & make changes on industrial plant -Demonstrate the ability to work within a quality system -Computer Literacy

-Salary Banding – up to £40,000 (DOE) -Eligible to join company benefits after successfully completing probation – Private Healthcare -Eligible for Death in Service benefit (4 x basic salary) and Group Income Protection upon commencement of employment -Holidays – 25 days + 8 statutory days -Pension – Can join immediately or auto enrolled after 3 months - Employee 5% and Employer 5% via salary sacrifice -Hours of Work – 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday. -Overtime – 1.5 -1 in 3 Standby - £25.00 per day
