Perform project-level quality control tasks, inspections, and coordination on construction sites.

Tasks

-Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer. -Participate in submittal reviews, weekly QC meetings and preparatory meetings. -Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas. -Interface directly with the owner’s quality assurance team on all quality-related issues. -Perform all initial and follow-up inspections and manage the punch list process. Inspections are conducted to verify that trade partner work complies with the project specifications and applicable codes. This includes performing material inspections to verify that the products are to specifications and that storage, staging and material handling methods are implemented. -Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements. -Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps at various heights. -Maintain records that identify areas inspected, tests performed and any significant findings. Initiate deficiency reports and track their resolution to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. -Work closely with trade partner quality control personnel to understand their QC procedures. Review the trade partner’s quality control logs and ensure corrective actions are implemented, when required. -Assist with the coordination and scheduling of third-party testing and source inspections. Interface with third party testing agencies, as necessary. -The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity. -Stooping – Bending the body downward and forward by the spine at the waist.

-Verification of Work Authorization and Employment Eligibility -Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc. -Physical Exam (if applicable) -Strong communication skills (verbal and written). -Balancing – Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and to walk, stand or crouch. -A valid Driver’s License. -Background Checks for Badging/Security Clearances (if applicable) -Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). -Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate. -Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. -Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects. -Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD. -Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally. -A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management. -Be technically experienced and capable of comprehending the specifications, standards and code requirements for all disciplines. -Strong understanding of federal, state, and local reporting requirements and regulations. -Frequently exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
