The Role

Overview

Manage order picking, shipments, scheduling, loading, and receiving in a warehouse.

Tasks

-Print batches created by Customer Service. -Direct incoming traffic and drivers to proper loading station. -Check in Drivers. -Monitor plant email box and respond to inquiries on shipments. -Check-out drivers and apply seals to truckload. -Check order status to make sure all late orders or orders due current day are prepared for shipment. -Work with shipping carriers to schedule pickups ensuring smooth transition between carriers and proper timing for loading. -Utilize Transportation Management System to schedule shipments. -Coordinate with plant employees to ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded expeditiously and accurately. -Partner with CS to troubleshoot and correct shipping issues. -Organize orders by transportation mode. -Audit truckloads to ensure accuracy.

What You Bring

-Twisting/Bending: Must be able to twist/bend 50% of the day. -Able to operate forklift safely. -Able to operate RFGen Gun. -Able to communicate both in writing and verbally. -2+ Years Warehouse Experience. -Sitting: Must be able to sit 20% of the day. -Squatting, Climbing and/or Crawling: Must be able to squat/climb/crawl 20% of the day. -Experience utilizing ERP system (preferably JD Edwards). -Proven ability to learn new computer skills and programs. -Push/Pull: Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds. -Able to utilize math to perform basic inventory counts. -Order Picking (20%): -Able to read and interpret directions and order details. -Must pass pre-employment physical. -Lift: Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds. -Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. -Stand: Must be able to stand 80% of the day. -High School Diploma or equivalent.
