The Role
Overview
Lead design, manage teams, and deliver architectural projects for financial facilities.

Tasks
-Support business development by contributing to proposals, project pursuits, and maintaining positive client relationships. -Interpret and apply relevant building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements. -Provide team leadership and oversight through the project life cycle, including in the group effort to design, document, and execute architectural projects. -Guide junior staff in professional development and technical growth. -Participate in firmwide design reviews and initiatives to enhance quality and innovation. -Conduct regular site visits, including those in and outside the Midwest, to ensure adherence to design intent, quality standards, and specifications. -Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and government officials throughout the project lifecycle. -Collaborate with Project Directors to monitor budgets, schedules, and deliverables. -Review and ensure accuracy of construction drawings and specifications. -Coordinate and manage internal design teams and external consultants to ensure design consistency, construction quality, and project delivery. -Contribute to client presentations and team design reviews, helping ensure the incorporation and coordination of feedback into the project.

What You Bring
-Familiarity with ProCore (project management and construction administration software) preferred. -7+ years of professional experience in architectural practice. -Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. -Knowledge of commercial construction and associated building codes and standards. -Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture). -Understanding of professional service contracts and the design-build process. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Strong understanding that design and construction is a team sport requiring collaboration. -Strong understanding, curiosity, and appreciation of building systems, construction methods, and architectural detailing. -Strong interpersonal communication skills, including to nonprofessionals, the ideas, experience, knowledge, and concepts guiding decisions. -Architectural Licensure (or on path to licensure). -LEED Accreditation or other sustainability credentials a plus. -Must have an appreciation for the design-build process, embracing the understanding of construction practicalities as a necessary complement to architectural design.
