The Role
Overview
Conduct building stock condition surveys, inspections, and defect analysis for housing properties.

Tasks
-To positively promote the Association in all activities. -Offer technical advice to other staff. -Contributing to the effective delivery of a quality service through the formulation, review and proper implementation of policies and procedures. -To fulfil all care and high standards regarding both Tuath’s and your own health and safety obligations. -Participating on forums/working groups/committees as required. -Conducting all activities in a manner which is safe to yourself and others. To be aware and act in accordance with the Association’s Health and Safety Policy. -Provide assistance, input and coordination regarding various property services topics including new dwelling acquisitions, repairs & maintenance, planned & cyclical maintenance, defects, building safety and adaptations. -Undertake stock condition survey programme including, with the assistance of administration support and using the relevant resources, draw up the annual stock condition survey programme, arrange access for surveys, undertake surveys, upload completed survey reports. Visting housing various schemes where Tuath operates (could involve overnight stays – business expenses covered). -Liaising with Managing Agents / Companies in relation to the areas of their responsibility such as Fire Safety, Emergency lighting, lifts, common services and general repairs, service maintenance and cleaning of the areas under their control. -Assisting the Property Services Manager, Senior Staff, Head of Property Services, Directors, and the Chief Executive of the Association with the compilation of stats, reports and data as required.

What You Bring
This position is open to all localities with office attendance required in one of our offices in Cork, Dublin, Dundalk or Galway. Primarily dealing with building stock condition surveying duties, property inspections and defect analysis. Full, clean driving licence and daily access to your own car are a requirement for this role. -A sound knowledge of contract management and working to procurement regulations. -Level 7 Qualification in Building Surveying, Construction Management or a related field. -Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role. -Proactive and Solution-Orientated. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Complying with the requirements of Data Protection, Equal Opportunities and Equality legislation. -A strong understanding of building pathology. -High level of skills on Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. -Experience in diagnosing and managing repairs to domestic buildings. -Full clean Driving License and use of a car. -Familiar with the Technical Guidance Documents and building compliance.
