Senior Engineer I

Overview

Lead design and delivery of water/wastewater infrastructure projects as a senior civil engineer.

Tasks

-Provide technical expertise in hydraulic modeling, infrastructure design, and system optimization. -Oversee the preparation of engineering studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. -Support and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and professional development. -Lead and manage the design and delivery of water distribution, wastewater collection, and conveyance system projects (pipelines, pump stations, treatment plant connections, etc.). -Engage with clients to identify needs, develop solutions, and build long-term relationships. -Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company standards and best practices. -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, environmental specialists, surveyors, and construction managers.

What You Bring

-Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and client relationships. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). -Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required. -Minimum of 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure. -Strong understanding of municipal utility standards, permitting, and regulatory requirements. -Demonstrated experience in pipeline design, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
