Tasks

-Review tenant occupancy costs and sales performance to support leasing decisions and strategy. -Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, customers, suppliers, local government, and other stakeholders. -Stay informed on competitor activity and market developments within the trade area. -Ensure pop-up and short-term tenancies maintain presentation standards and deliver optimum rental returns. -Conduct daily debtors’ reviews with the Centre Manager, identifying and addressing retailer payment issues in line with company debt collection policies. -Oversee storage licence management and ensure accurate data is captured within the tenancy schedule. -Monitor and control expenditure against budget, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and savings. -Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to define and uphold customer service standards, ensuring timely complaint resolution. -Enforce retailer presentation and lease line standards. -Maintain and review the tenancy schedule to ensure all details are accurate and up to date. -Provide backup support to the Centre Manager as required. -Contribute to the development and implementation of the annual Retailer Support Strategy. -Work with the Centre Manager and Leasing Executive to action lease renewals in line with lease expiry profiles, budget objectives, and strategic plans. -Monitor retailer performance and identify opportunities to improve sales and foot traffic outcomes. -Assist with lease assignments, variations, and related documentation for internal approval processes. -Assist in the preparation of centre strategies, annual budgets, and monthly management reports. -Conduct daily centre inspections, ensuring presentation standards, cleanliness, and trading hours compliance. -Contribute to the planning and execution of the casual mall leasing budget to meet and exceed centre targets. -Support and oversee the Casual Leasing Executive in implementing the casual leasing strategy. -Assist with annual budget preparation in collaboration with finance, operations, leasing, and marketing teams. -Participate in retailer meetings and tenancy delivery processes, including reviewing fit-out plans and defect management. -Support recommendations for tenant litigation and remedial actions when required. -Support the concierge and customer service functions to enhance the overall customer experience.

What You Bring

The Retail Manager plays a key role in developing and managing retailer engagement strategies aimed at maximising net property income and asset value. Working closely with the Centre Manager, this role contributes to the delivery of the centre’s strategic objectives and the effective management of key stakeholders. The position requires strong financial acumen, commercial insight, and interpersonal skills to achieve successful outcomes. -Relevant tertiary qualifications in Property, Business, or a related field (preferred). -Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and stakeholder relationships. -Strong understanding of leasing principles and tenancy compliance. -Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. -Experience in retail or commercial property management, ideally within a shopping centre environment. -Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. -High level of professionalism, presentation, and attention to detail. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems. -Sound understanding of retail operations, lease administration, and property management principles. -Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities. -Strong financial and commercial acumen.
