Associate GIS Developer

Tasks

-Support geospatial analytical projects and scale analyses to company-wide products. -Develop tools for spatial analysis and visualization that support data-driven decision making. -Research, evaluate, and onboard new GIS technologies, APIs, frameworks, and development best practices. -Translate user revenue-generating needs into functional application components and workflows. -Develop automated scripts for data processing, ELT workflows, and geoprocessing tasks. -Contribute to design standards, coding guidelines, and reusable component libraries. -Advocate for business outcomes, speed, and influencing their multimillion-dollar decisions -Design, develop, and maintain GIS web applications predominantly using Esri but also Tableau, Sigma, and other GIS technologies. -Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field (or applicable work experience). -Company expert to design, develop, and maintain custom Esri Experience Builder Dev Edition applications, widgets, and web tools. -Strong critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and desire to problem solve. -GIS platform proficiency (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Tableau, Sigma) -History of creative solutions to business problems of high complexity. -Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, and Arcade. -High attention to detail and strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. -Ability to provide support to multiple projects through each sprint. -Demonstratable experience with Esri Experience Builder Developer Edition, Git, Esri ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript (v4.x), and familiarity with Calcite components. -Ability to cause and embrace change and adapt to evolving business needs. -3+ years of hands-on experience in GIS development.
